With summer rapidly approaching, we are gearing up for DIY season. Here at Dustless, we have a large lineup of tools that are useful not only for industrial contractors, but also for the homeowner. There are a few tools that we think really hit home for DIY users – the SawBuddie and BitBuddie.
If you own a reciprocating saw, we think this tool is fabulous.
The SawBuddie is a vacuum shroud that universally fits around the collars of most reciprocating saws. As you cut wood, drywall, or anything else that makes a fine dust, the vacuum suction pulls the dust out. This makes your job cleaner and saves you time and money by allowing you to work indoors without having to move furniture or vacate the home.
It hooks up to, or is easily adaptable to, most wet dry vacuums.

This is the drill equivalent of the SawBuddie, and one of our personal favorites.
Instead of fitting on a drill, it uses vacuum suction to stick in place. Little slits in the suction base capture the dust.
What makes this tool so versatile is that it can be used in many different applications. The standard size is 1 3/8″ diameter – so, any drill bit for any wood, drywall, concrete, or masonry bit that can fit in it will work. People use this for water lines on countertops, hanging pictures, making cabinets, and way more. It is also available in 4″ and 8″ sizes.
Much like our other shrouds, simply hook it up to your vacuum and you are in business.

Note: If working around lead paint or silica dust, the use of a HEPA Vacuum is recommended and required by law in commercial settings.
