When the COVID-19 pandemic spread across the US, it made society incredibly uneasy. People quickly began asking what we could do, because we work with filters every day. Surely there was something we could do to help provide safety equipment, including face masks.
A Mask for Every Person
As part of a greater push to provide masks to people everywhere, we are excited to now be sewing masks in house and making them available for an economic price to people across the US and Canada.
We have masks that work for both the individual working a ten hour shift in the grocery store, and the customer who dashes in for five minutes to grab some milk. Some with greater protection, and others that meet the minimum requirements set by the CDC.
Formed Mask with Filter Insert
The first type of mask we are offering is the one that offers greater protection. What we are referring to as the ‘Formed Mask’ is a mask that has greater reinforcement. It is thick and has a specialized pocket to fit our 4″x5″ filter mask insert, which we have been donating across the US and Canada.
With the included filter mask insert, the mask is capable of filtering 97% of particles at 0.3 micrometers. That is a scientific way of saying that it filters excellently, while still being comfortable and breathable.
This is a great option if you are needing to wear a mask for an extended period of time or if you are concerned about extra protection.

The second type of mask we are offering is a more simple style. It is based on the CDC’s minimum requirements for a sewn mask. It is much thinner and pliable while offering less filtration and easier breathing.
While this mask is not meant to work with our filter inserts, it can still be a great protection, including if you are looking for something lighter.
